License Types

Life Only Agent

The Life-Only Agent is entitled to transact insurance for the following risks: human lives, benefits of endowment and annuities, death benefits or dismemberment by accident and benefits for disability income (life policies offer riders for death or dismemberment by accident and benefits for disability income; (Life-Only Agent sell all of these products).

Accident & Health Agent

The Accident & Health Agent is entitled to sell if Only holding an Accident and Health Agent license may transact coverage for sickness, bodily injury, accidental death and benefits for disability income Long Term Care policies & Medicare Supplements.

Life & Accident & Health Agent

Life Agent is entitled to transact insurance for the following risks: human lives, benefits of endowment and annuities, Death Benefits, Dismemberment & Death by accident, Health & Medical benefits for Sickness, Bodily Injury, Disability Income, Long Term Care policies & Medicare Supplements

Limited Lines Automobile Insurance Agent

A limited lines automobile insurance agent is a person authorized to transact automobile insurance. A motor vehicle of the private passenger or station wagon type that is not used as a public or livery conveyance for passengers, nor rented to others; or Any other four-wheel motor vehicle with a load capacity of 1,500 pounds or less; provided, or motorcycles.

Personal Lines Broker-Agent

A personal lines (PL) licensee is a person authorized to transact automobile insurance, residential property insurance, including earthquake and flood insurance, personal watercraft insurance and umbrella or excess liability insurance providing coverage when written over one or more underlying automobile or residential property insurance policies, and a personal lines broker-agent license is a license so to act. Personal Lines Broker-Agent license authority is determined by what documents are submitted.

Broker - Agent Fire & Casualty

A fire and casualty licensee is a person authorized to act as an insurance agent, broker, or solicitor, and a fire and casualty broker-agent license is a license so to act. A fire and casualty licensee is also authorized to transact 24-hour Coverage, Generally, the Fire and Casualty Broker-Agent license allows authority to transact insurance products that are not Life Insurance. Such as Automobile Insurance, Commercial General Liability, Commercial Property coverage, Contractual Liability Insurance, Crop Insurance – Disability, Dwelling Property, Earthquake Insurance, Flood, Health, Home Warranty Insurance, Homeowners, Indemnity, Inland Marine, A broad category of insurance which will cover the personal effects example, jewelry and fine arts, Liability Coverage, Livestock, Mechanical Breakdown Insurance, Prepaid Legal, Umbrella Policy, Watercraft insurance, Workers Compensation Insurance,

Fire and Casualty license authority is determined by what documents are submitted:

• A $12,500 Bond of Insurance authorizes the licensee to act as an insurance broker. An insurance broker is a person who, for compensation and on behalf of another person transacts insurance other than life with, but not on behalf of, an insurer.
• An Action Notice of Appointment authorizes the licensee to act as an insurance agent. An insurance agent is a person authorized by and on behalf of an insurer to transact all classes of insurance, except life insurance. Action Notice of Appointment must be submitted electronically by the appointing Insurer.
• An Action Notice of Solicitor, authorizes the licensee to act as an insurance solicitor. An insurance solicitor is a natural person employed to aid an insurance agent or insurance broker in transacting insurance other than life. A person authorized to act as an insurance solicitor is not eligible at the same time to act as an insurance agent or broker, and a person authorized to act as either an insurance agent or broker is not eligible at the same time to act as an insurance solicitor.
